Haute Couture (“high fashion”, “high sewing”) is a form of art. Each Couture gown is handmade, unique and one of a kind. Couture creations are made of the most luxurious fabrics, decorated or embroidered with utmost care. Only most capable and experienced seamstresses are responsible for bringing to life those extraordinary Couture fashion fantasies.

Christian Dior fashion house is a member of prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, French organization regulating the art of Haute Couture. To be recognized as a member of this exclusive fashion society, each fashion house needs to meet certain well defined criteria like establishing an atelier in Paris, presenting at least two Haute Couture collections per year (for spring – summer and fall – winter season) as well as ensuring that each collection will consist of at least thirty five exits divided into daytime and evening creations.

High standards set by Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture guarantee that each associated designer is a real master in a fashion trade and that presented collections never loose this special, almost magical feeling.
