Week with Dior – Day 4. Signature perfumes.

Every perfume has a different character – some are playful while others are more refined, youthful or mature, floral and fresh or oriental and seductive… Creating an advertising movie is a perfect opportunity to announce a new scent and present its “personality” to the general population of fashion lovers. It is especially important since perfume sales brings a revenue that can’t be ignored – after all for a great number of fashion followers bottle of perfumes signed by the favorite designer is as close as one can get to “keeping in touch with high fashion”.

Christian Dior presented a number of signature scents. Miss Dior was the very first perfume introduced by Christian Dior fashion house in 1947, together with the “New Look” creations. Designer well understood the significance of perfumes and their power to influence moods, images and experiences. After all, as said by Dior himself, “perfume is the indispensable complement to the feminine personality, and the finishing touch of a dress”.
