I remember my student years as a little less glamorous than I would like to admit. Sure, there were great fashion moments, but they were overshadowed by down to earth moments, when I had to find a sensible option to keep me through a day filled with lectures, projects as well as relocations. I also remember standing out of the bohemian crowd, especially in periods of combining studies and internships. It is hardly advisable to be laid back when working in a conservative and dress code conscious environment of an insurance company.
Looking at these vintage pictures I feel a pang of jealousy. Wouldn’t it be lovely to study in a dress code defined environment, when dressing up for lectures would be equally important as dressing up for a dinner with a college sweetheart? I can almost picture a wardrobe I would have had if only… traveling back in time would be possible.
